The Needs Map Summit has been held in Ankara TED University this year by the Needs Map which is one of our Changemakers from 8^th season. The summit, which brings together university communities, supporters, volunteers, public and private organizations, representatives from different cities of Turkey, was held in five separate sessions around the issue of "Sustainable Development Goals". In the “Social Transformation Supports” session, we had the opportunity to explain the Turkey’s Changemakers Program with the contributions of Sabancı Foundation Programs Manager Özen Pulat.

Needs Map is a non-profit social cooperative that was first presented at UNDP (Euroasia and CIS Regional Office) Social Benefit Summit on October 7, 2015 and brought into use on a map-based digital platform.

Basically, the purpose of the Needs Map is to create a systematic way to learn with citizen participation needs based on cities and neighborhoods in Turkey, to collect them as map-based and to facilitate these needs to be met by the necessary institutions / organizations or private persons. In addition, it is a digital platform in which not only those who need it but also individuals or institutions who want to provide support on different issues can provide their assistance as map-based and but also those who need it can benefit from these supports.
