Born in Izmir and spending part of her childhood in various Anatolian towns and cities due to her father's job, Pervin Aydar Emeklioğlu has had the chance to learn about diverse cultures through her visits to foreign countries since her college years. She met different socio-economic groups through her volunteer activities in various non-governmental organizations in her destinations and learned more about the stories of the women she encountered over time. She was also aware of the poverty that her peers had to endure during her childhood. All these factors inspired her to establish the Collective Impact Program Association (KEP) for the empowerment of women.
Pervin created a strong network of solidarity with her teammates who share the same vision with her and are skilled professionals in their respective fields at the Collective Impact Program Association, headquartered in Buca, Izmir. In this way, she helps empower women by enabling them to gain social and practical skills that support their access to highly qualified jobs in the textile industry. She has so far provided more than 3,000 women with occupational skills training, including sewing, embroidery, design, and entrepreneurship, through the Association. Pervin also help employ women who are in dire need of fairly paid jobs with more flexible conditions in KEP Textile Atelier, established within the Association, alongside fostering an environment of mutual solidarity. She offers training support free of charge, including entrepreneurship training for women who wish to create their own brand and technical training for those aiming for jobs in the textile industry. She provides an inclusive work environment in the KEP Textile Atelier, where women can work full time with their children, who need maternal care, safely by their side, allowing their individual needs to be met more flexibly. She also cooperates with other players in the industry to help women secure jobs in various textile workshops with fair wages.
Through the Collective Impact Program Association and Textile Atelier, Pervin enables women generate income while meeting customer demands by minimizing the common environmentally damaging factors in the textile industry across all production processes. She also reports the carbon footprint resulting from production and wage policy transparently to her customers.
The Collective Impact Program Association and Textile Atelier embrace a responsible production approach to protect the environment and include women in fair and equitable production processes. Through these efforts, Pervin Aydar Emeklioğlu continues to make a difference in the lives of women seeking to gain skills for self-improvement and employment.
